Adventure with Will and Charity

This is an adventure that I am in the process of having with Charity and also Will (who joined later). (In third person. And we took turns.):
Bonnie and Charity stepped out of the time machine. It was snowing and they pulled their cloaks tighter around them. They headed to the cave that Gandalf had mentioned and stepped inside. They did not observe the glowing eyes looking in their direction.
Slowly they ventured into the cave, unaware of the danger lying in wait for them. They wandered farther and farther into the cave, not noticing all the caves and side-tunnels they passed. Slowly they wandered deeper into the darkness...
"Frodo!" Bonnie called, "We're here to help you!' "I have been waiting for you," said a voice. Bonnie and Charity drew back in terror.
"What was that?" Charity called out into the darkness. Both girls drew their swords and glanced around cautiously. They moved to stand back-to-back so that they could see in all directions.
"No!" said another, yet strangely the same voice, "We was not waiting for them." "Who's there?" yelled Charity, "I'll slice you in two if you don't show yourself." The voice chuckled, then whimpered.
"Oh no," muttered Bonnie. "What is it?" whispered Charity in a small voice. "I've heard of them. Slinker and Stinker. Guess which one bites," Bonnie said softly back. Suddenly something in the darkness moved on Charity's side.
A small lanky figure revealed itself. "That's not stinker or slinker," gasped Bonnie in realization. "That's Gollum!" Charity finished. "Help me," said Gollum, "Master is not happy with me." "There is no master of you," said Charity, "You are the master of yourself, remember."
*As a side note, Slinker and Stinker ARE Gollum. He does this good-cop bad-cop thing like in the second movie.* "You must flee," he began, eyes wide with fear. Then he suddenly scowled and a flicker of evil flashed in his eyes. "No, we have been waiting for you. Come this way, precious." Charity and Bonnie exchanged confused glances. They kept their swords raised. "Stop! No! Must not listen! She will hear," He rasped out as his eyes grew wide again.
" Who will hear?" asked Bonnie "My mistress......," said Gollom. He winced and walked into the darkness. "I think we should follow him but keep your eyes open," said Charity. "How?? It's pitch black in here," asked Bonnie. "Please tell me you didn't forget the flashlight," moaned Charity. "I didn't forget the flashlight," Bonnie said. "Really?!" exclaimed Charity.
Bonnie winced. "Ok, maybe I accidently...might have...unintentionally...left it on a pirate ship before I lit the rum on fire and it exploded," she admitted. Charity's mouth popped open, clearly disgusted at her friend's forgetfulness. "Sorry," she mumbled, bracing herself for the explosion she knew was coming. Charity immediately began shouting in Elvish, for she had been raised in LothLorien. Bonnie had been born among the rangers and was glad she couldn't hear what Charity was saying. And then, after a while, "Ok, I feel better now," said Charity. "Let's go."
"You know you really shouldn't take your anger out on other people. It's not good character," Bonnie admonished. "I guess you're right. I'll work on that later," agreed Charity. They walked farther into the cave.
As they walked farther into the cave, Gollum became more quiet and seemed to cringe as he walked. Deeper and deeper they walked, through dark passageways and tunnels. Their eyes soon adjusted to the dark. Charity's before Bonnie, because she was an elf. Bonnie soon became aware of something following them. Being a ranger, she had learned to sense things in the enviornment and she knew both how to hunt and when she was being hunted. She kept her eyes straight ahead of her, and she mentally said to Charity, "Something has been following us." Bonnie's talent was mind control, which meant mind-speaking, and mind-reading. As Charity's eyes grew large, Bonnie said quickly, "Don't turn around. I can sense it." And Charity became aware of something, too.
Her gift was talking to the elements and animals. The elves had taught her to control this power they held so highly. Charity thought of something else. She waited for the right gust of drafty breeze before asking the question: Dear wind, tell me well and do not lie, what layeth behind us nigh.... She could only hope for an answer. The elves had taught her that the wind had a mind of it's own. Only the most skilled person could get an answer out of the wind.
Bonnie walked briskly behind Gollum, sword still held ready. She watched Charity out of the corner of her eye. She decided against trying to seek out what was following them mentally, incase it could sense her inside its mind. She felt a chill wind against her cheek, rustling her hair. Then she heard Charity gasp. "What is it? What's wrong?" she asked in Charity's mind. "Spider! It's a spider! A HUGE spider!" came Charity's reply. Both girls exchanges glances. "Shelob," they whispered together.
"Do you think this is Gollum's mistress?" asked Bonnie inside Charity's head. "That would be a long shot but it's possible....I didn't know insects could speak to people such as Gollum. I can barely get tiny spiders to talk to me, let alone huge ones!" replied Charity. "Do you think you can try?" Bonnie asked again. "I'd probably get us all killed, but if you want me to I can always try," said Charity in her mind. "How about staying on the safe side, until we reach the place Gollum wants us to go. In other words, NO TALKING!!!!" Bonnie tried. (Charity could be very talkative to animals, even bugs.)
Suddenly they rounded a corner and found themselves staring at a huge, black lake in the middle of a huge cavern. It must have been miles wide, and there was nothing inviting about the water. It looked cold and deadly. Gollum continued toward it and dove into it without hesitating. "Wait!" called out Charity, running to the water's edge, "Where are you going?" "We must cross," he said. "But you didn't say that before you led us down here," protested Charity. Suddenly Bonnie spoke inside Charity's mind. "Gollum! That little worm! He is going to leave us here, stranded, and wait for Shelob to come and eat us!" Charity frowned. Gollum had turned and was already swimmming away from them. "It was all a trap! We have to do something! NOW!" continued Bonnie, turning around, trying to find a way out of the cavern.
"I've never tried this but I could always make the water warmer," Charity said. "You can? Why haven't you said so? We could've had warmer water while we were traveling ages ago!!" Bonnie looked annoyed. "I never thought of it before; I wasn't desperate enough!" Now Charity looked annoyed. "Well hurry; we don't have alot of time - in fact almost no time at all," Bonnie said. She started to hear the scurrying of eight huge feet. Charity knelt beside the water and put her hand in it. She jerked it out suddenly from the coldness. "Hurry!!" Bonnie cried. Charity thrust her hand back in, not allowing herself to pull it out. She uttered a few words in elvish, took off her coat and jumped in. Bonnie dove in after her.
Will whipped out his trusty hand-and-a-half-sword "Lightning" and cast a spell on the water, making it glow. "Does this help?" he asked.
Will!" Bonnie exclaimed, trying to keep the excitement from her voice as she swam out and onto the shore of the lake where he stood. Charity swam beside her. Suddenly Shelob burst out from a tunnel and into their vision. She was the largest, most revolting spider Bonnie had ever seen. Eight huge legs stood in front of her and millions of eyes blinked down at them from all sides of her body. All three of them began to attack with their swords. "So where'd you come from?" asked Bonnie over the clamor of their swords as they hit the hairy body of the spider.
"Transportation spell. I missed Rivendell. Big time," said Will between strikes. Will thrust Lightning through one of Shelob's legs. It screamed the stangest sound you will ever hear and threw Will across the cave.
Charity bit back a cry to Will, and watched as he rose and came back to stab Shelob from behind. Bonnie continued to fight, while watching her friends from the corners of her eyes. A sudden thought occured to her. "Charity? Can you make the water into a wave and smash Shelob with it?" she asked telepathically.
Before Charity could do anything, Will slashed the rocks above and screamed, "Bonnie! Charity! Run!" He dove into the water and swam to the bottom, casting a shield around himself. He then used his mind to call Bonnie and said, "Go to the outside. Quick. There's someone I'd like you both to meet."
Both girls ran to the other side of the cavern, away from the avalanche of rocks that cascaded down on the spider. "Are you crazy?" she called back to his mind, "How are we supposed to find our way back?" But Charity asked the earth beneath their feet to guide them. Bonnie and Charity were still puzzled at Will's actions, and Bonnie had trouble resisting reading his thoughts. When they got to the mouth of the cave, they stopped and many different feelings mingled within them.
They saw Will riding ... a ... dragon? "This is my friend Saphira (III)," said Will, decending from his dragon. "And I'm not a wizard. I'm a rider."
Charity stood with her mouth open, simply staring at her friend. Bonnie felt a million questions rising to her lips. Why hadn't he told them? How long ago had this happened? Why had he come here? How did he get one? What was Saphira like? How come he hadn't taken her into the cave? How did he get out of the cave so fast? But as she sheathed her sword (a bit angrily), all that came out of her mouth was, "Not fair."
"You have a dragon!!!" Charity said in amazement. "Yes, pretty isn't she?" Will replied. "Yes gorgeous.... I wonder if I could talk to her," Charity thought aloud. "I don't know, she's not exactly friendly with strangers," said Will. "I could ask her though."
Meanwhile Bonnie had approached her from behind. The way her scales shone. They way she moved. The very way she breathed. She reached out a hand and stroked a shining scale, relishing in her essence. It all brought her great joy. But with the joy came the sharp sting of a long-forgotten memory. Saphira craned her graceful neck to look at her with large, blue eyes. Charity had been stroking her front, and neither she nor Will noticed Bonnie until now. Saphira said gently in her mind, "I am pained at your loss. But you and your elven friend will be welcome in my presence." Bonnie thanked her and tried to maintain control over her emotions.Suddenly Will looked into the sky, as if hearing something. Will & Saphira had to leave, and a rush of air followed them. The last words from him that they heard were, "Good by, good luck, and fight well!" He then flew with his dragon into the night sky and left.
